Start with the Renewal Portal. For covered cases, submission, payment and documents are handled digitally.
Open Renewal Portal ↗Renewing a permit, replacing a lost card and correcting data are different procedures. This guide points you to the correct starting route.
AIMA currently indicates the Renewal Portal for residence permits expired or expiring from 1 July 2025 within the date window made available in the portal, currently through 31 October 2026.

Open Renewal Portal ↗Do not assume that the same Renewals Portal route applies. AIMA's current published availability for that portal starts with permits expired or expiring from 1 July 2025; for earlier permits, confirm the applicable route through AIMA's official channels before starting.
See current portal availability ↗AIMA provides a Contact Form option for a second copy of a residence card/permit.
The Contact Form also supports requests to change data linked to the permit. AIMA requires evidence of the reason for the change where applicable. If your renewal is already being handled in the Renewal Portal, use the portal/contact options specifically indicated by AIMA.
After starting a renewal, keep the proof issued by the channel used, payment receipts and all notifications. The validity and legal effects of that proof should be checked for the specific procedure.
Do not create contradictory requests in several channels without a reason. First confirm that your permit category and date are covered. For submission problems, use AIMA's Contact Form and select the option for the Renewal Portal.
