What to know first

01

Before complaining

Keep the contract, invoice, receipt, advertisement, e-mail, photo and relevant messages. State the facts, dates, amount and what you want resolved.

02

Complaints Book

Portuguese law requires many suppliers of goods and services dealing with the public to provide a Complaints Book.

03

Electronic version

The electronic version allows online complaints in covered sectors. Use the official domain and identify the establishment/service correctly.

04

Competent authority

Different regulators may handle complaints depending on the sector, such as ANACOM for communications or ERSE for energy.

Important: The Complaints Book is not an automatic refund button. Write factually, attach relevant evidence and keep the complaint receipt.
