I am a CPLP national
- Nationals of CPLP member States who meet the regime's conditions.
- People holding a consular visa issued for CPLP residence.
- CPLP certificate/card holders who need to distinguish first grant, renewal and replacement.
The CPLP residence permit now uses the uniform residence-card model. Current first-grant rules require close attention to the consular visa and AIMA's stated appointment channel.
AIMA currently indicates that a prior consular visa specifically issued for this purpose is required.
The appointment date may appear in the visa observations; where it does not, AIMA provides a specific CPLP appointment form.
New grants are issued using the EU uniform residence-permit format.
Holders of earlier CPLP certificates follow the specific AIMA procedure published through services.aima.gov.pt/CPLP.
